Donkey Van De Beek has moved on loan from Manchester United.

Donny van de Beek has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan for the rest of this season.

He could have played his final game for the Red Devils as well.

After being on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt for 12 hours, Van de Beek, 26, concluded his loan.

If the Bundesliga team so desires, they can make the agreement official at the end of the season. 

The Dutchman will wear the number 25 for the Bundesliga side. The cost is estimated to be around £9.5 million, although it might rise to £12 million if there are extras. And United would lose around £30 million on the player they paid £40 million to buy from Ajax in 2020. At Deutsche Bank Park, Van van Beek elected to wear the No. 25 shirt. The midfielder completed his trade only hours after the transfer market opened. He will be playing alongside Mario Gotze, who won the World Cup, and he intends to assist his new team reach the Champions League. Eintracht Frankfurt is currently ranked sixth in the Bundesliga, nine points behind fourth-place RB Leipzig. Van de Beek made only two appearances for United throughout the first half of the season. 

Strong form might see a permanent contract done this summer. In September, he played 19 minutes in a Carabao Cup win over Crystal Palace. Four days later, he played only two minutes in the Premier League against the same opponents. In 2019, Ten Hag helped Ajax reach the Champions League semifinals. However, United’s manager did not include him in any of their six matchday teams for the 2023 group stages, when they finished bottom and were eliminated. Van van Beek has 62 appearances for the Red Devils over four seasons at Old Trafford, scoring two goals. 

He hasn’t added to his 19 caps for the Netherlands since 2021 due to little game time or poor physical condition. He could return to Ronald Koeman’s team before Euro 2024, if he performs well on loan at Eintracht. The Netherlands will face France, Austria, and the winner of the play-offs in Group D. Next season will be the final year of his contract with the Red Devils, therefore they will be eager to get rid of him.
