A comparison to Manchester City striker Erling Haaland motivates Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen to perform better, according to Osimhen.

Osimhen has been sensational for Napoli this year, according to Soccernet.ng. The striker for the Super Eagles has scored 21 goals in 24 games to lead all Serie A scorers.

In the Champions League, he has also scored four goals. Partenopeans make historic UCL quarterfinal debut thanks to Osimhen’s strikes.

Rumours have circulated that Napoli are interested in trading the 24-year-old striker. His services have reportedly been discussed by PSG, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea.

He has also drawn comparisons to world-class strikers such as Harry Kane, Lautaro Martinez, and Haaland, the hero of Manchester City.

The compliments motivate Osimhen to step up his game, and he is happy with the comparison.

 

Haaland ranks among the top artists of his time. Osimhen told the Daily Mail, via Tutto Napoli, that being compared to him and being regarded as one of the top forwards in the world motivates him to do better.
