As if Man City weren’t enough spoiled, even Kevin De Bruyne’s own family has joined the Erling Haaland craze: his son now sports the Norwegian’s signature hairdo

After Erling Haaland joined Manchester City, Kevin De Bruyne said that he is no longer the household idol.

Ever since he left Borussia Dortmund for £51 million last summer, Haaland has been everyone’s talk. He has scored 52 goals in all competitions this season.

In addition, De Bruyne shared that his kids had shown greater enthusiasm for the game in the last year. Mason, who is seven years old, has a Haaland cut.

“There is no issue!” Bruyne made the statement. Erling is just great. The three kids all sport lengthy locks. Even among the students at [my son’s] school, I notice that. Their hairstyle is universal. Funny, really.

This year, every one of my kids has taken an interest in football. More games are attended by them. Additionally, they have begun to participate in football matches.

My oldest child in particular is beginning to grasp the gravity of the situation. Come to games more often is what he wants. Bayern was playing in the Champions League quarterfinals, so he came to watch. The more he does it, the more he enjoys it.

City want to improve upon their Champions League performance from last season, when they lost to Chelsea in the final. When asked why they couldn’t complete the quadruple, De Bruyne remarked that if they beat Inter and win the treble, some detractors will wonder why.

‘I don’t look at what happened two years ago with bad feelings,’ he added. ‘If we win, some people will say why didn’t we win against Southampton in the League Cup – that’s the way it goes.

‘I think that we are getting a bit used to the success that we are experiencing now. Maybe that’s a bit of a pity. But I think, eventually when my career is over, there will be times when I look back on things that have been accomplished.

‘I’ve been here eight years and it’s been incredible. Could I come here and think about all the amount of games and trophies we would win in eight years? Probably not.’
