Erling Haaland refutes rumors of spending £4 million on a new private jet, dismissing claims about the aircraft being referred to as the ‘Swiss Army knife of planes’

Erling Haaland has refuted the claims made in Norway that he has spent £4 million on a new private plane.

The highly talented player from Manchester City was sidelined due to a foot ailment, but made a comeback as a substitute in Wednesday’s victorious 3-1 match against Burnley.

Striker Haaland formerly possessed a Piper M600 aircraft, jointly with his father Alfie and associates in the Norwegian firm Sola M600.

The aircraft was sold in the latter part of the previous year, and experts in the aviation industry anticipate that the 23-year-old aircraft will be used for charter flights in the future.

According to the Norwegian newspaper Finansavisen, the group acquired a high-end Pilatus PC-12 private aircraft.

Haaland, on the other hand, has refuted the allegations, dismissing them as false information.

The price range for the jets is £3.3m to £4.5m.

Referred to as the Swiss Army knife of aircraft, these jets are equipped with six business-class seats.

Aviation broker Carl-Christian Gunnestad said: “We usually liken this plane to a Mercedes SUV.

“It has a luxurious cabin designed by BMW, and a state-of-the-art cockpit.  It is perfect for families or business people.”

Haaland’s success has greatly increased since he joined City in 2022, achieving victory in the Champions League, Premier League, and FA Cup during his inaugural season.

The Norway international has experienced a period of instability, being absent for over two months due to injury and witnessing City’s deficit against Liverpool increase by five points.

However, he is currently aiming to achieve further success and win further trophies.

Haaland is poised to make his inaugural start following his return from a foot injury on Monday against Brentford.

He played for 23 minutes in his comeback match against Burnley.
