Rasmus Hojlund smashes long-standing Cristiano Ronaldo record as Manchester United star scores at Wolves

RASMUS HOJLUND has beaten Cristiano Ronaldo’s long-standing record with his latest Manchester United goal.

The Danish striker scored in the Red Devils’ 4-3 victory over Wolves on Thursday night.

Rasmus Hojlund has smashed the long-standing Cristiano Ronaldo record. Ronaldo was 21 when he scored and assisted in back-to-back games for United.

Hojlund extended United’s lead after assisting Marcus Rashford’s fifth-minute goal at Molineux.

It is his second Premier League outing in a row with both a goal and an assist.

At the age of 20 years and 362 days, Hojlund is the youngest Manchester United player to accomplish the accomplishment.

The previous record was set in 2007 by Cristiano Ronaldo, then 21 years old.

Hojlund’s goal was also his first in the league that was assisted by a United teammate.

His previous two league goals had come without an assist before Luke Shaw set him up to score.

The 20-year-old seems to be getting upset with his lack of service in recent games.

He was seen yelling at Alejandro Garnacho during the FA Cup win over Newport on Sunday after the winger failed to identify him.

However, Hojlund has scored in three consecutive Premier League games.

The summer signing failed to score in his first 14 league games.

He has nine goals and two assisted in 27 games since joining from Atalanta.
