Real Madrid continues to be the favorite to sign Kylian Mbappe, the PSG sensation

The favorite to sign Kylian Mbappe, the top player for PSG, in January is Real Madrid.

Strong rumors that the attacker was leaving Paris in the summer seem to have risen again, with talkSPORT BET’s transfer odds placing a move to Madrid at 8/1.

For a few transfer windows now, the French World Cup winner has been linked to a move away from PSG, and Real Madrid has long been considered the forward’s natural home.

Entering his eighth season with PSG, the 25-year-old has amassed 101 assists and scored an incredible 237 goals in 284 games for the Parisians.

The forward signed a two-year contract back in 2022, and although he has the option to extend it by one more year, he made it clear earlier in the summer that he would not. He now only has six months left on his current agreement.

Instead of holding onto the 25-year-old for the remaining months of his contract and losing him for nothing in the summer, PSG might opt to sell the attacker this winter for a certain amount of money.

Though it was originally believed to be extremely unlikely, the season has begun and the Frenchman has scored three goals in two games, one of which came off the bench. As a result, it now looks possible that Mbappe will play out his contract.

After announcing last summer that their long-serving striker Karim Benzema was leaving for Saudi Arabia, Real Madrid is currently looking for a viable long-term replacement.

At the moment, the sole recognized striker for Los Blancos is 33-year-old Joselu, who is on loan from Espanyol. The 34-year-old Spaniard has nine goals this season for Real Madrid in 26 games. His birthday is in March.

Mbappe has frequently won every domestic prize available to him in France, but he has yet to win a Champions League winners’ medal. If he moves to Madrid and joins the most successful team in the league, he may be able to accomplish this goal.

Last summer, there were rumors that Al Hilal, a Saudi Arabian club, was trying to sign the world’s finest player for a record-breaking £259 million.

This summer, a number of elite athletes have joined the Middle Eastern league, following in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo, with teams handing their new signings incredible contracts.

Benzema, Neymar, N’Golo Kante, and Sadio Mane are just a few of the well-known players who have recently moved to the Gulf nation; Mbappe may be the next, albeit the odds are a little bit higher at 16/1.

According to talkSPORT BET, the Frenchman’s chances of joining the Bundesliga in Germany or Serie A in Italy are 16/1.

The World Cup winner is 20/1 to sign with Liverpool; the Reds could try to win just their second league title since 1990 this month by moving him on loan to Anfield to finish out his contract at PSG.

The French sensation has also been vaguely linked to moves towards the Premier League’s Arsenal (25/1) Chelsea (33/1) and Manchester City (33/1) teams; however, it appears doubtful that any of those deals will happen this month.
