On Sunday, January 7, 2024, in Dakar, Sadio Mane, the star of Al-Nassr, reportedly tied the knot with his partner, Aisha Tamba, in a romantic ceremony.
It was reported that friends, family, former players, and even current Senegal national team players attended the wedding.
The former Liverpool player went back home to be with his teammates as the African champions began their pre-AFCON 2023 training camp.
Before departing for the Ivory Coast, the 31-year-old married earlier this month and dedicated a stadium he constructed in his hometown of Bambali.
In pictures circulated on social media, Tamba appeared wearing a vibrant bridal gown and grinning broadly on her special day. Mane was dressed in a classic white Arabian attire.
After that, Mane will play with his teammates in Senegal’s pre-AFCON friendly against Niger, following which the team will travel to Ivory Coast to start the championship defense.
According to Sporting News, the five-time champion Cameroon, Guinea, and the Gambia have all been drawn with the Lions of Teranga.
As previously reported by Sports Brief, Mane expanded his development efforts in Senegal by constructing a new stadium for his hometown’s residents.
The star of Al-Nassr came home to officially launch the facility in Bambali in advance of his country’s preparation camp for the AFCON competition in Ivory Coast.
Mane was seen playing on a muddy field in his hometown a year ago, following a difficult season in Europe that resulted in his departure from Bayern Munich.
