Erik ten Hag has revealed that Manchester United are in talks with Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial about new contracts.
Both players’ contracts are slated to expire this summer, and it was widely assumed that they would leave rather than sign extensions.
However, United is in talks with both and invoking one-year extension options in the contracts of other players.
“We are talking with Varane and Martial but it is an internal discussion with the club that is ongoing,” Ten Hag said in an interview.
“We triggered the options on Aaron-Wan Bissaka, Victor Lindelöf, and Hannibal [until 2025].”
Casemiro and Lisandro Martnez have also returned to full training, according to the Dutchman.
