WINNER Jadon Sancho might be packing his bags and returning to Borussia Dortmund in a few hours.
On Wednesday night, negotiations were underway for a six-month loan agreement that would cost Manchester United around £3 million.
Jadon Sancho is expected to go on loan to Borussia Dortmund from Manchester United.
Sancho made 137 games for Dortmund and scored 50 goals.
The amount that the Old Trafford team will have to contribute to the shunned player’s £270,000 weekly salary has also been negotiated.
In 2021, United paid a staggering £73 million to get Sancho from Dortmund.
Additionally, a clause probably exists that would allow Sancho to rejoin the Bundesliga team where he was a star indefinitely.
If all parties agree to a sale, appearances, and form will determine the price, but if United receives a significant return on the problematic 23-year-old, they will bear a heavy financial burden.
However, Dortmund is currently desperate to have Sancho back and is set to pay £30 million to sign Ian Maatsen, a 21-year-old Dutch star for Chelsea.
The England player is invited to participate in their mid-season training camp, which begins in Marbella the following week.
Four months after publicly accusing him of lying over claims he had underperformed in training, Sancho was labeled an Old Trafford leper by manager Erik ten Hag.
But Sancho’s exclusion from the United setup has come about as a result of his refusal to offer Ten Hag an apology.
In 82 games before being exiled, he recorded 12 goals and six assists while frequently battling with consistency.
Nevertheless, in 137 games with Dortmund, he recorded 50 goals and 64 assists.
Over the following two days, United hopes that his departure might be confirmed at any time.
The 23-year-old was benched for United’s 3-1 loss against Arsenal on the road, and he hasn’t appeared on the field since August.
