Tottenham has given up trying to sign Todibo, a center-back.

Because of the club’s injury crisis, Chelsea is in a desperate search for a new defender as Mauricio Pochettino looks to expand his alternatives.

Full-backs Reece James, Marc Cucurella, and Ben Chilwell are all out of action due to injuries, as is Trevoh Chalobah and Wesley Fofana.

Reporter Fabrizio Romano claims that the Blues and Man Utd compete to sign 23-year-old Todibo.

However, the source indicates that a contract between the North London club and the Ligue 1 star has “collapsed,” so the two clubs won’t have to fight Tottenham for his signature.

Spurs attempted to sign the two-cap France international, but they were unable to agree and are now searching elsewhere.
