Explaining how the wedding ring could easily slip off, the 56-year-old coach said, “Sometimes my body loses a few kilograms, so the ring becomes looser on my finger.”

Klopp has been married twice. His first marriage was to Sabine, with whom he has a son named Marc (born in 1988).

On December 5, 2005, Klopp married social worker and children’s book author Ulla Sandrock. They met at a pub during the Oktoberfest festival that same year. Ulla has a son named Dennis from her previous marriage.
