As a “serious candidate,” LIVERPOOL has surfaced to sign Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe in the summer.
The 25-year-old’s contract in the French city is about to expire in six months.
Kylian Mbappe is currently in the last year of his contract. He has the option to extend it by an additional 12 months, but he wrote to the club’s executives last summer saying he had “no intention” of doing so.
Following the forward’s expulsion from PSG’s preseason tour, the Ligue 1 winners accepted a record-breaking £259 million bid for their top player from Al-Hilal.
Mbappe later returned to PSG’s first team after turning down a move to Saudi Arabia, and he has been playing at an incredible level ever since.
His future is still up in the air because Real Madrid and Liverpool have both expressed “credible” interest in signing him.
Le Parisien claims that the Reds are the team that PSG has the best chance of persuading Mbappe to stay.
The French sensation is well-liked by Jurgen Klopp, who has reportedly fantasized about signing him for nine years.
Mbappe is aware of the Reds’ long-standing adoration and may be interested in moving to Anfield.
The Kop executives would kill to get him to continuously challenge Manchester City.
Furthermore, Saudi Arabia is showing a lot of interest in Mohamed Salah, thus Mbappe may eventually replace the Egyptian.
For a long time, it was believed that Real Madrid had the upper hand in signing Mbappe.
However, recent reports indicate that he has not been impressed by the “hardball tactics” used by the Spanish side during the negotiations.
Mbappe still has the option to change his mind about his summertime stance and choose to stay at PSG once more.
It’s said that he would have trouble finding circumstances at other possible suitors that are as “tailored” for him as they are at Parc des Princes.
In his 16 Ligue 1 games thus far this season, Mbappe has scored 18 goals.
In the Champions League, he has added three more as well.
