Liverpool is looking into potential answers to their current left-back problem. The Reds are currently without Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas. Robertson is currently recovering from a dislocated shoulder suffered in October, while Tsimikas is expected to miss time after breaking his collarbone over the weekend. As a result, 90min reports that Liverpool are interested in signing Fulham’s Antonne Robinson. Robinson has been highlighted as a potential addition, and the Reds are said to have already made contact with Fulham about bringing him to Anfield. The 26-year-old is claimed to be ‘open’ to the move, with Liverpool working with the Cottagers to make it happen.Another option the Reds are said to be looking into is recalling Owen Beck from his loan spell at Dundee. If you’re Antonee Robinson, why wouldn’t you want to relocate to Liverpool right now? With Robertson and Tsimikas gone, there’s a great chance for someone to stand up and make an impression. The American has been excellent for Fulham this season and appears to be ready for a move. Jermaine Jenas of BBC Sport claimed earlier this month that Robinson was ‘outstanding’ versus Liverpool. He kept Mohamed Salah quiet throughout the game while also posing a threat on the other end.We know that Jurgen Klopp considers how players perform against the Reds when making transfer selections. If Klopp is looking for a left-back in the new year, Robinson’s outstanding performance in early December will be fresh in his mind. Nonetheless, we’d be wary of bringing in the USA international. The concern would not be due to Robinson’s ability, but more to the fact that both Robertson and Tsimikas are expected to return soon. Liverpool would have enough with one back fit and Joe Gomez in reserve. If we do sign a left-back, we should look for someone like Robinson. However, we doubt that the Reds will go that route.
