“Al Nassr Captain, Cristiano Ronaldo becomes the world’s top scorer in 2023 after reaching his 53rd goal against Ittihad today,” the squad posted to X. “He surpassed Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane, who scored 52 goals each.”

In the 5-2 victory, the 38-year-old Portuguese player converted two penalty kicks.

Erling Haaland of Manchester City has fifty goals, while Kane of Bayern Munich and Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain each have fifty.

Haaland, a striker from Norway, will probably play in two more Premier League games this year when Manchester City takes on Sheffield United on December 30 and Everton on Wednesday.
