REPORT: Liverpool leading the race to sign £51.6m ‘TACKLING MACHINE’ to upgrade squad

Goncalo Inacio, a Portuguese international, has long been connected to Liverpool, and the most recent information seems intriguing.

The Reds dispatched one of their scouts to Jose Alvalade Stadium to watch the defender in the Europa League match against Sturm Graz, according to today’s edition of the Record (news image given below).

Inacio played for forty-five minutes and even scored two goals during Sporting’s 3-0 victory.

According to a reputable news source, Liverpool has been gathering information on the player for months. Following his midweek performance, the Merseysiders will “certainly” increase their interest in the player and push to sign him in the coming days.

In the race, the Anfield club is not the only one. According to reports, teams like Newcastle and Man Utd, who are fierce rivals of Lions, are also attempting to entice the 22-year-old.

Sporting is reportedly open to offers for the Seleccao star starting next month, but they won’t sell him until the £51.6 million (60 million euros) release clause is fulfilled.

With the Lisbon team, who are presently leading the league table following 13 games, Inacio has already won the Liga Nos championship.
